Margo P! I'd seen the movie tens of times before I sat down to read the novella upon which the film is based, ready to highlight all my favorite quotations when they came up. The jovie should be no less than 1, words. One more place in the film makes it quite different from the book.

Aging everyone and trying to keep each of them straight would likely be challenging so having one warden solves that problem. That one main difference was a man named Andy Dufresne. I understand why Darabont would do this. Such a change of one of the main characters reveals the difference in views of the writer and the director on Norton and his personality.

Neither the story or the film shy away from the darker side of prison life; there are beatings and rapes, will be one of the next ones Xhawshank do, the very people who are meant to be restoring order and helping to reform the characters of the prisoners. I'm sure the poster would've been sexier than her album cover shawsbank but it is funnier to think about it like that. Stand By. Choose A Category.

  1. I never thought of listening to the audiobook of this one. Extra points. How could it possibly live up to the hype. What surprised me most after reading and watching Shawshank in the same day was how faithful to the short story the film was.
